Christopher
Rake has experience behind the camera and in the darkroom dating
back to 1993. In high school, Chris was fortunate to have access
to the wonderful darkrooms at the North Carolina School of Science
and Mathematics in Durham, NC. There he worked with both black &
white and color printing while using an Olympus OM-1 manual 35mm
SLR.
Throughout his
years at Georgia Tech, Chris moved to a Canon Elan II while expanding
his subject matter to include theater at DramaTech. In addition,
he spent several years working as darkroom manager and staff photographer
for The Technique - the student-operated newspaper of Georgia Tech.
He also (after five long years) got his B.E.E.
In the years
following college, Chris moved to Austin, Texas to work with National
Instruments while continuing to develop his photography skills as
a hobby. With the addition of a Canon 10D to his equipment bag he
now shoots almost exclusively digital, and photography is now Chris'
main hobby.
